Privacy policy

This policy explains what information shrutiastro.com and Shruti Malhotra's consultations collect, how it is used and the choices you have. It is written to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Using the website

• The site has no user accounts, no advertising and no analytics or tracking cookies.
• The birth chart tool runs entirely in your browser. The date, time and place you enter are not sent to us or stored anywhere unless you choose to press "Send these details to Shruti on WhatsApp".
• The feedback form does not store anything on the website. It prepares a WhatsApp message, and Shruti only receives it if you send it.
• The site remembers one setting in your browser: whether you turned the background music on or off.
• To display the page, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts and a graphics library from Cloudflare's cdnjs service, and the site is hosted by Hostinger. Like any web request, these services receive your IP address and basic browser details under their own privacy policies.

When you contact Shruti or book a consultation

Bookings and consultations take place over WhatsApp or by phone. You will share some or all of the following: your name, phone number, date, time and place of birth, and the questions you would like to discuss. For readings about another person, such as a child or partner, you share their birth details too; please do so only with their consent, or as their parent or guardian.

This information is used only to prepare and hold your consultation, send your written summary and answer follow-up questions. It is never sold, never shared with third parties and never used for marketing without your permission. Messages sent on WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.

Testimonials

Feedback is published on the website only with your permission, and then only with your first name and city.

How long information is kept

Consultation notes are kept for as long as you remain a client, so that later readings can build on earlier ones. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time.

Your rights

You may ask to see the information held about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you may withdraw any consent you have given. To do so, send a WhatsApp message to +91 98992 82543. Requests are answered within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
